    • Hi Todd – wish we could assist – our K9’s are only trained to locate human scent. Hope you have or will soon have your cat back. Terri

    • Lee, Sorry that I missed this – typically we would learn of the need to moderate our site through email. Due to a glitch with Comcast our Comcast email is no longer functional and we changed to ssarbloodhounds1@gmail.com. I used to know personal contacts for “pet searches” but now can only recommend good old Google. Hope your need was addressed. Terri

  4. Hello
We have a new bloodhound puppy Capone who is 9 weeks old. I am looking for a trainer or program to help me get him trained in SAR. I am a natural humanitarian and love to help others in any way I can and doing it with my fur baby is just even better. Any recommendations or advice would be appreciated 🙏. I look forward to your response 👍 I want to start him as early as possible.

  7. Hello!

I first and foremost want to thank you for what you are doing. It matters! Have you seen the movie Rescued by Ruby? So powerful to show the gift that working dogs being to our communities!

I am hoping to program our VBS at church this summer with different working dogs each night. We are in Williamsport PA. I am not sure if you are willing to travel? Or know someone in our area that does what you do? Many years ago I counseled a summer camp at Quest Haven Lodge in Tyrone PA and they brought in bloodhounds to teach the kids and for a demonstration (might have been your organization). It was fascinating! I am looking at week of June 19, 2023 in the evening. 5-7pm or so. Would only need one demonstration to respect your time.

    • So wish we could – we love presenting our programing but having us out of our territory for a length of time has been difficult – we are heavily utilized. And unfortunately we do not have any bloodhound units that we would recommend near you. Perhaps you can check with area Search and Rescue teams recommended by Police agencies. If it wasn’t such a lengthy road trip (2 hours) we would have loved to. Terri

  8. Hello,
My wife was at wild about dogs today. She heard you look for places to train. We have a 40 acre facility near brickerville. Set up as a horse boarding facility, but wooded area as well. No longer boarding. If this interests you, please contact me.

  9. To whom may help,

I’m aware this isn’t the typical message you receive but I have a 2y old female UKC registered Dutch Shepherd that I am trying to rehome. She would excel in scent tracking and has been trained in German commands, house trained, soon to be spayed, and UTD on all her vaccines with Bravecto onboard for flea/tick control. She’s very intelligent and absolutely loves to run…all day long especially if it’s along side our four wheeler racing us. I’d like to find her a great, responsible and safe home but am very wary to where she goes. If you don’t have anyone looking for dog could you advise or direct me to other opportunities for her. Thank you for your time and assistance.

    -Laura
